Our Annual Chili Cookoff - Starts at 1pm. Bring in a pot of chili, or just come to sample and judge. The winner receives a trophy, and all who supply chili will receive something.

Super Bowl Party - Cost $50. Limited to 50 people. Includes open bar and great food from 5pm until one half hour after the conclusion of the game.

Our St. Baldrick's Head Shaving Day - On Sunday, March 11, at 1pm we will begin shaving heads to raise money through pledges for the St. Baldrick's foundation. So far, Jim Higgins, Clare Tessman, Vince Costa and R. J. Widman have signed up to have their heads shaved. The money raised is used for research to fight children's cancer. Last year we raised $16,000+. Thank you for your continued help!

St. Patrick's Day - Corned Beef Sandwiches today are $2.00 in honor of the man who drove the snakes out of Ireland. If only he could come back and do the same for us in Washington D.C., Springfield and City Hall!

Cubs at Milwaukee Brewers Bus Trip - We will be doing this again this year. As soon as we get confimation of our ticket order from the Brewers, we will post details. This is an afternoon game beginning at 12:05pm. We will be leaving the tavern at 7:30am. We have requested 50 tickets.

The Arlington Million - We will have our usual tables in the International Room for Arlington Park Race Course's best day of the meet. Details as we get them.

Our Annual Neighborhood Appreciation Party - Noon to 7pm. School Street will be closed from Racine Avenue east to the alley. Higgins' Tavern will provide complimentary burgers, brats, Italian and Polish sausages, hot dogs and chicken breast sandwiches. The Mayor's Office will provide the Jumping Jack Unit at a time to be determined. We have requested an "in service" stop from the Chicago Fire Department. You may bring your own beverages for outside consumption or buy them at the tavern. Join us for a fun day with friends and neighbors.
