Recently, the Chicago Tribune ran an article in their Friday section (1/17/03) detailing which college fans have the best allegiance "To the bars that are true to their school." For Michigan State fans, the article stated the following:
"And if you happen to be crazy about head coach Tom Izzo and his Michigan State Spartans, there are quite a few "Izzones" around town. Probably the two best places to catch Michigan State games are Higgins' Tavern - a cozy neighborhood pub located at 3259 N. Racine Ave .......... Higgins' gets fairly crowed early on game day ."
